Assemble Your Audiobook
When your chapters have audio, assembly joins them into a single .m4b audiobook.
At a glance
- Click Assemble Project at the top right of the project.
- Choose chapters, then Confirm Assembly.
- Later assemblies are much faster.
- Download or delete past exports from the history list.
Assemble a book
- Open the project and make sure the chapters you want show finished audio (a green orb).
- Click Assemble Project at the top right.
- Tick the chapters to include. Select All Chapters ticks every finished one.
- Click Confirm Assembly. The job appears in the Queue.
Why the next one is faster
Each finished chapter is saved as an M4A file. When you assemble again, the app only re-encodes chapters that changed and joins the rest without losing quality, so rebuilds are nearly instant.
Your exports
The export history lists every audiobook you have made as a simple timeline. Each entry shows how long ago it was made, its length (for example 3h 32m), its file size, and a Latest badge on the newest. Use an entry's menu to Download or Delete it.
What you get
- File type:
.m4baudiobook. - Sound: mono at 64 kbps, which is standard for good voice audio.
- Loudness: the app tries to even out volume across chapters.
MP3 copies. Turn on Produce MP3 in Settings if you also want an MP3 version of each chapter.
