Boot Sequence

Startup is deliberate and idempotent, and it's the only place side effects live.

At a glance

boot_studio() and boot_tts_server().
Migrations run, then the watchdog starts.
Idempotent and off the request path.

Explicit startup

Boot functions own all startup side effects. Migrations run first, then the watchdog brings up the TTS Server. Importing modules never triggers this.

Idempotent

Boot can run safely more than once and never happens as a side effect of handling a request, which keeps requests fast and predictable.
