TTS Server & Watchdog

Synthesis runs in a separate, supervised process. If it dies, the watchdog brings it back.

At a glance
  • A long-lived subprocess hosts engines.
  • A READY signal marks it up.
  • A watchdog spawns, health-checks, and restarts it.
  • A circuit breaker prevents crash loops.

The server process

The TTS Server hosts all engines and manages GPU memory. It signals readiness once up, and Studio talks to it over HTTP via the bridge.

The watchdog

Studio spawns and supervises the server. It polls health, restarts on failure, and uses a circuit breaker so a persistently broken engine doesn't spin in a restart loop.
