Characters
Characters let dialogue sound distinct. Define them once, give each a voice and color, and assignment does the rest.
At a glance
- Create a character.
- Assign a voice profile/variant.
- Use color coding to scan who speaks.
Create a character
Add the characters that appear in your book. The narrator exists by default; characters cover everyone else.
Assign a voice
Give each character a voice (and variant). Their assigned lines render in that voice. See Characters & Narrators.
Color coding
Each character gets a color so you can scan a chapter and see who speaks which lines at a glance.
Coming soon: AI voice casting can suggest a fitting voice per character from your library, with a reason, and you confirm the picks.
